Relevance and consistency of livestock product systems on the agendas of innovation of the Produce Foundations in Mexico

The technological innovations contribute to the development of the country, for this the state governments in co-exercise with the federal government allocate resources to fund projects through the system Produce Foundations (FP), and State Agendas Agricultural Innovation (AI) are produced. But there are questions that said the livestock sector has not been adequately addressed, therefore the objective of this paper is to present a proposal to analyze it the priority livestock product systems (SPP) are served by the AI, and present the main results its application in Mexico. The methodology starts by identifying critical factors through literature review and be integrated a listing of demands or needs research or technology transfer (DoNRandTT) for SPP. Subsequently a list of projects that address these demands and technological identifies supply is integrated. The study with the collection of the SPP master plans and development programs is concluded. The relevance analysis is performed considering: a) the AI of the SPP have DoNRandTT; b) serving strategic livestock species; c) the extent to which AI contribute to the objectives of the SPP; d) whether the agendas prioritize demands and issues livestock in the state. Analysis of congruence is done considering: a) if in the execution the projects are met, the DoNRandTT submitted; b) if in the execution implementing the SPP; c) if in the implementing the projects contribute to the achievement of the SPP, d) if execution are served all priorities of the SPP. Information is validated with a group of livestock experts. The results for the 32 states indicate that SPP if they are treated in the AI, but not prioritized, nor contribute to achievement of the SPP.Téléchargements
