This research was undertaken to better understand the state of knowledge management within a Canadian international organization dedicated to research for development. The research aimed to propose a knowledge management strategy that meets the organization's needs and supports its overall strategy. Quantitative and qualitative studies were conducted to assess the practices, attitudes, perceptions, and opinions of the organization's employees, based on four key knowledge management facilitators (leadership, technology, engagement, and organizational structure) considered most relevant to the organization. A questionnaire administered to the organization's employees allowed for the measurement of perceptions and the collection of data using a five-point Likert scale (1 to 5). The findings aim to raise awareness among staff about the importance of knowledge and among senior management about the need to implement a knowledge management strategy encompassing both explicit and tacit knowledge.
