Abstract

Two world-wise facilitators discuss facilitation-in-development-context pitfalls and options. Based on the "Define Facilitator" KM4Dev list thread from February 2014, Nancy White and Lucie Lamoureux use a typical workshop work cycle as an organizing skeleton to explore facilitation challenges and options to rise above them. They place facilitation in a KM and KS context and cheekily look for opportunities to shift perceptions and facilitation practices using "guerilla facilitation" techniques. This pragmatic, light-hearted and occasionally irreverent Community note comes with hand drawn illustrations and - reflective of its feisty authors - fairly strong opinions.
